Gas Line Installation Applications

New construction requires complete gas systems designed and installed from the ground up. We plan comprehensive systems that serve all your current gas appliances and accommodate future additions.

Kitchen conversions from electric to gas cooking are increasingly popular. Gas cooking offers precise temperature control, lower operating costs, and continued functionality during power outages. We install gas lines to serve gas cooktops, ranges, and ovens.

Water heater installations using gas provide efficient, economical hot water heating. We install gas lines for tankless and traditional tank water heaters.

Outdoor installations including gas grills, patio heaters, and fire features enhance outdoor living spaces. We install weatherproof gas lines serving outdoor appliances safely.

Commercial installations serve restaurants, hotels, laundromats, and industrial facilities requiring reliable gas service for multiple appliances.

Our Gas Line Installation Process

Our installation service begins with comprehensive consultation and planning. We assess your gas needs based on appliance requirements, simultaneous usage patterns, and future plans.

We design your gas system with proper sizing calculations ensuring adequate supply for all appliances, efficient routing minimizing pipe length, appropriate material selection, compliance with safety codes, and proper ventilation requirements.

We obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities as required. Gas installations typically require official inspection and approval.

For LPG tank placement, we determine optimal location considering delivery access, safety clearances from buildings and property lines, level ground requirements, and local regulations.

We install the main gas line from tank to property, using appropriate materials and burial depth (minimum 45cm for underground lines), installing required regulators for pressure control, and providing main shutoff valves.

For distribution lines inside the property, we route pipes using the safest, most efficient paths, install proper supports and protection from physical damage, size branches appropriately for served appliances, and install individual appliance shutoff valves.

We make final connections to each appliance, using flexible connectors rated for gas service, ensuring all fittings are properly tightened and sealed, and installing sediment traps (drip legs) where required.

Before activating the system, we conduct comprehensive pressure testing, testing at 150% of operating pressure for minimum 2 hours, using multiple leak detection methods including electronic detectors and soap solution, and documenting all test results.

Only after passing all safety tests do we purge air from lines using proper procedures, activate gas service, test and adjust all appliances for proper operation and flame characteristics, and verify adequate ventilation for all appliances.

We provide system documentation including as-built drawings showing all pipe locations, valve locations, operating instructions, and safety information.

Proper Gas Line Sizing

Correct sizing ensures adequate gas supply to all appliances simultaneously while operating safely within pressure limits. Undersized pipes cause insufficient gas supply, poor appliance performance, and potential safety issues. Oversized pipes waste money without benefit.

We calculate proper sizing based on total BTU demand of all appliances, pipe length from supply to appliances, allowable pressure drop, and gas type (LPG characteristics).

Typical residential gas lines range from 12mm (½") for individual appliance connections to 25mm (1") or larger for main supply lines.

Safety Features We Incorporate

Every gas installation includes essential safety features. Main shutoff valves allow emergency gas shutoff accessible from outside the property. Individual appliance shutoff valves enable servicing without shutting off the entire system.

Regulators control pressure to safe levels appropriate for appliances. Sediment traps (drip legs) capture debris preventing contamination of appliance controls. Proper bonding and grounding prevent static electricity hazards.

Adequate ventilation prevents carbon monoxide buildup from combustion appliances. We verify ventilation adequacy and can install additional venting as needed.

Gas detectors provide early warning of leaks. We can install gas detection systems that alarm when detecting even small leaks.

Materials and Code Compliance

We use only materials approved for LPG service including black steel pipe for most installations, copper tubing where permitted, CSST where approved and appropriate, and approved flexible connectors for appliance connections.

All installations comply with Kenyan safety standards, local building codes, manufacturer specifications, and insurance requirements.

We provide certification documentation verifying code-compliant installation.

Commercial Gas Line Installation

We provide commercial gas line installation for restaurants requiring multiple ranges, ovens, fryers, and other equipment, hotels with commercial kitchens and laundry facilities, industrial facilities using gas for manufacturing processes, and multi-unit residential buildings with centralized gas service.

Commercial installations are more complex with larger pipe sizes, higher capacity requirements, specialized equipment needs, and stringent safety standards. We have extensive experience designing and installing commercial LPG systems.

Note: Costs vary based on system size, piping materials, installation complexity, and appliance count. Does not include appliance costs or LPG tank purchase.
